WHAT IS CONTENT MANAGEMENT?

A Content Management System (CMS) allows YOU the site owner to maintain and create content for your web site. Having a completely static site often ties you into the web consultancy that created your site in terms of having to contact and pay for any small changes to the copy on your site, or the creation of a new page for a news story. A CMS allows you to either create new news stories, maintain images, update case studies, add a team member profile or some or all of the above.

As with any software application, there are places where it is necessary, and places where it is not. By defining properly where it can work for you (and where not) costs can be kept to a minimum and site administration can be a breeze.
