The Brief

To create a document exchange system allowing users and clients to login from anywhere in the world and pick up the latest copy of a relevant document. This is crucial in areas such as media placement where media schedules can change daily and users and clients need access to the latest version of the schedule.

The Solution

We created a permissions based extranet system allowing users to be allocated restricted access to certain areas of the online document collection. Site administrators can manage the collection throughout the system, while user further down the tree have the ability to create and manage their own document exchanges for their own clients and user sets.

The system is designed to handle a plethora of different file formats, with all graphic file formats being previewed prior to download. Users are able to make comments about the documents, such as in the event of approval being required on a proposed design or media schedule.

This application has taken the main benefit of the web, namely communication, and leveraged it into an extremely useful online application.
